Celebrations of Tulsi Pujan Diwas on 25th December was initiated by Sant Shri Asharamji Bapu in India in 2014. Today, it is widely observed around the world. The festival’s celebration has gained popularity as a result of broader initiatives to raise public awareness of Hindu culture and the many health advantages of the Tulsi plant. Every year, Shri Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti, Yuwa Sewa Sangh, Bal Sanskar Kendras and Mahila Mandal wings of Sant Shri Asharamji Bapu Ashram organise this ceremony across the globe. Free distribution of Tulsi plants and Tulsi plant awareness books are arranged.
The events are organised in temples, parks, schools, colleges, corporate offices, societies and in the big malls. BJP MLA from Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal seat Balmukund Acharya swung into action, organized a state level event and launched a Tulsi Pujan Diwas poster.
