Hannover were effective as Bayern struggled to gain a foothold into the match. Jerome Boateng worked out the only noteworthy chance at the 11th minute for the visitors.
Hannover had the golden opportunity four minutes later but Bayern goalkeeper Tom Starke denied Hannover’s Artjoms Rudnevs one on one.

Nonetheless, Hannover’s chances were a wakening call for the Bavarians as Thomas Mueller wrapped up his brace at the 59th minute following combination via David Alaba and Mario Mandzukic.
The German giants were not done with the scoring when Mario Mandzukic exploited a moment of madness by Hannover’s goalkeeper Ron Robert Zieler to round off the comfortable 4-0 win.
