Australian golfer Jason Day won the World Golf Championships (WGC) Match Play Championship, becoming the World No.4, his highest career ranking.
The 26-year-old Australian from Queensland withstood a fierce challenge from Frenchman Victor Dubuisson to triumph with a birdie at the 23rd hole in a thrilling final at the Dove Mountain course in Arizona, reports Xinhua.
Day’s victory took him to number four in the world rankings, just behind American Tiger Woods, fellow Australian Adam Scott and Swede Henrik Stenson.
