BAPS Volunteers participate in Tree Plantation Drive, Adelaide, AUSTRALIA 2

Answering an environmental call to action, the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha and its partners have initiated tree-planting campaigns throughout the world. These efforts give individuals the ability to be directly involved in improving their environment, instilling a sense of shared ownership of our planet at the individual and community levels.

The BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Green Fields in cooperation with the city of Salisbury and Pledger Wetlands Group participated in the tree plantation drive on 28th May 2023 at Brookside Drive in Mawson Lakes suburb. In spite of adverse weather conditions, BAPS volunteers successfully planted around 2000 native trees and shrubs. Present in this drive to attend were Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM, City of Salisbury; Cr. Beau Brug JP; Cr. Sharon McKell and Member for Florey MP Michael Brown.

The day instilled each volunteer with pride and satisfaction in helping the local community and our environment, with the inspiration of His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj.

ABOUT HIS HOLINESS MAHANT SWAMI MAHARAJ

His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj is the sixth spiritual successor of Lord Swaminarayan and the present leader of BAPS after Pramukh Swami Maharaj who left for his divine abode in 2016.

His steadfast virtues of austerity, self-control, devotion, humility and service earned him the blessings of both Yogiji Maharaj and Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Mahant Swami Maharaj now presides as the guru and spiritual guide to countless devotees and helms the worldwide spiritual and humanitarian activities of BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha.
