OPENING NIGHT GALA THE NEW BOY

The 70th Sydney Film Festival will open with the Warwick Thorton’s latest masterpiece, The New Boy – kicking off a 12 day celebration of cinema including over 200 films, talks and parties. Direct from Cannes’ Un Certain Regard, starring Cate Blanchett, Deborah Mailman, Wayne Blair, and magnetic newcomer Aswan Reid, The New Boy is a beguiling story of spirituality and survival set in 1940s Australia.
