NSW Labor commits $110,000 to Bangladeshi cultural festivals

An elected NSW Labor Government will provide $110,000 to support Bangladeshi festivals and cultural activities in New South Wales.

The funding for the Bangabandhu Council Australia will support the annual Boishakhi Festival in Sydney Olympic Park.

This event attracts thousands of people and is the biggest Bangladeshi event in Australia, and one of the largest outside of Bangladesh.

The funding comprises $27,500 a year for each of the next four years.
