In the holy place of BAPS Swaminarayan temple Sarangpur, between the two divine places of Shri Akshar Purushottam Mandir and the Shri Yagnapurush Smruti Mandir, a third divine inspirational place is now being added – the Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj Smruti Mandir!

Devoting his entire life for the upliftment of mankind, for the implementation of the divine Vedic worship-message of Lord Swaminarayan, Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj resolved to proceed to the divine abode Akshardham in the shrine Sarangpur.

On 13/8/2016, after his passing away to Akshardham, according to his wish, his last rites were performed at a place where his vision focused on Bhagwan Swaminarayan and Gurudev Brahmaswarup Shastriji Maharaj  vision fall upon him.

At the same place, the Pramukh Swami Smruti Mandir, made of white marble from Makrana, has taken shape with the inspiration of HH Mahant Swami Maharaj.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj has built more than 1100 temples around the world and enhanced the pride of Indian culture by creating Akshardham in Gandhinagar, Delhi and USA.  

To pay homage to his heroic deeds, the architecture of his memorial temple has also been kept similar to the Akshardham.

The first stone of Pramukh Swami Maharaj Smruti Mandir was laid by Mahant Swami Maharaj on 17 December 2018.  After this, with the hard work of saints and devotees, Smruti Mandir has been completed in four years. The Naagar styled temple is 140 feet in length, 140 feet in width and 63 feet in height, with 1 Ghummat, 4 Samarans and 16 Ghumtis made of 7,839 stones. Intricately carved pillars, domes etc.

this memorial temple is decorated with sculptures of contemporary saints and devotees of Lord Swaminarayan and Pramukh Swami Maharaj.

The inauguration ceremony of this divine temple  was performed in the presence of HH Mahant Swami Maharaj at Sarangpur on Vasant Panchami on 26/01/2023.

In the centre of this temple, a marble idol of Pramukh Swami Maharaj is enshrined with Akshar Purushottam Maharaj. In the morning, vedic maha-pooja ceremony was completed by senior sadhus. Thousands of devotees from all over the world came to participate in this vedic maha-pooja. Then at 11.45 p.m. the main ceremony of the memorial temple was completed by Mahant Swami Maharaj.

In the end of ceremony His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj sang the glory of Guru Pramukh Swami Maharaj and the Pramukh Smruti Mandir, and blessed that the auspicious resolutions of those who visit this temple will be fulfilled with faith.

A new audio publication titled ‘Brahmswaroop Pramuchswami Maharaj Jivangatha’ was released by the organization today. In which life story from Pramukhswami Maharaj’s appearance to his appearance by Mahantaswami Maharaj has been presented in a very beautiful musical way by the musical saints of the BAPS.

All the devotees presented their devotional efforts within the recently completed Centenary Festival of H.D.H. Pramukhswami Maharaj. In which around 150 young men and women from London worked devotedly and prepared a huge ‘bubble wrap’ painting of His Holiness Pramukhswami Maharaj. The Guinness Book of World Records for the painting made of this bubble wrap is notable for its 97.78 square meter (1,052 sq ft) large painting of 8,50,000 bubbles filled with 320 different colors of Pramukh Swami Maharaj’s ‘Bubble Wrap’ painting. The Guinness Book of World Records took note of the picture created to pay homage to Pramukhswami Maharaj, who added color to the lives of millions of people during his lifetime, and blessed all those involved in it.

Pramukh Swami Maharaj used to consider ‘Bhagwan Bhajva and Bhajaavva’ as his main work.  Therefore, this memorial temple also conveys the message of strengthening faith and devotion in life.  Paying homage at the feet of Brahmaswarup Pramukh Swami Maharaj with the memory of his endless benefactions, this memorial will be a unique centre of faith and guru bhakti for countless people in the time to come.
