I’m delighted to send my warm greetings to the Tamil community as you celebrate Thai
Pongal and Tamil Heritage Month.
The beginning of a new year is a time of gratitude, renewal and refreshment, and at the
heart of Thai Pongal is this sense of a fresh beginning.
Across many generations, Tamil people have made new beginnings in Australia, and
brought a rich heritage of faith, language and heritage to our story.
