About Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur (SRMD)

Shrimad Rajchandra Mission Dharampur is a spiritual movement for inner transformation through wisdom, meditation and selfless service. Founded by Pujya Gurudevshri Rakeshji, the organisation works through 196 centres in five continents. Followed by thousands; the organisation is run by volunteers with a motto: “Realise One’s True Self, and Serve Others Selflessly”

SRMD is named after 19th century self-realised saint, philosopher and poet Shrimad Rajchandraji. Honoured as the spiritual guide of Mahatma Gandhi; Shrimad Rajchandraji had a tremendous and formative influence on the Father of the Nation. Shrimadji shaped Gandhiji’s ideas and beliefs, playing a pivotal role in the making of the Mahatma.

In addition to its spiritual activities; SRMD runs a 10-fold benevolent program focusing on a wide range of high quality, charitable and sustainable initiatives for the welfare of people, animals and the environment. SRMD built a 250-bed multispecialty charity hospital in a remote part of Southern Gujarat; which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister Modiji on August 4, 2022.
