After two long winters of absence, Sydney is buzzing in high anticipation for their promised wonderland. Part of the broader Bastille Festival, the Rocks Christmas in July village is coming back bigger and better. We’ve come packing with cheers and bounds of glee, presenting you a unique French-inspired Winter Christmas village from the 14th to the 17th of July 2022 in the heart of The Rocks in Sydney. GOOD NEWS DON’T COME ALONE: THERE ARE MELTING CHEESE STATIONS EVERYWHERE ALONG WITH AMAZING COMFORT FOOD, ARTISAN PRODUCTS AND LOCAL DISTILLERIES  Your stomach and tastebuds are our guest of honour. Rightfully, Europe and France are known for their delectable selection of fine food and wine. Come prepared for a culinary journey like no other. On offer : iconic crêpes, Fondue Savoyarde in a cob – from the French Alps – German hot dogs, Italian pasta in a cheese wheel, Belgian waffles, torched-flamed crème brûlée… Comfort food will be bountiful! While feasting on your favourite food, make sure to wander around the magical Christmas market and shop ‘til your heart’s content. We have stalls filled with beautiful art, craft and spirits from local producers, that will make the perfect present for your Christmas in July celebration. THE ROCKS MULLED WINE GARDEN AND LIVE MUSIC  There is no winter without mulled wine and if previous wonderlands indicate anything, we better have reserves! In the winter cold, fill your glasses with aromas of spiced steamy cinnamon wine as you indulge in the enchanting atmosphere. If you can’t withstand the cold, let alone the temptation, a cup of boozy hot chocolate might instead be your calling. For the brewery lovers, a handful of locally distilled craft beers will meet you whenever a refill is needed. Brews created especially for this Christmas Festival. Embrace a new festive season! In the heart of Playfair Street at the mulled wine garden, performance artists from across Sydney will rock you through a rendition of Christmas carols, original covers and seasonal melodies. If you can resist the tapping of your feet and shaking of your hips, the mulled wine gardens will be the ideal intimate pit stop among the bustling market to warm up around the fire pits – marshmallows in hand. The entertainment will be far and wide, discover the astonishment of street artists and marching bands as they sound in the Christmas glee. SNOW FALLING IN THE ROCKS  What’s not to love about Christmas, the presents, bonding time with family, friends and belting out “All I want for Christmas”. We may have it good in Australia, but we’re a few snowflakes, mulled wine, and carol sing along away from great. We strongly urge you to refrain from singlets and shorts as flakes drizzle down along the beautiful snow lane.
