What does the finest collection of French wine, award winning food and awe aspiring
art have in common? … Bastille Festival! The revolution lives on, better and stronger
in 2022 – armed with a collection of Sydney’s best restaurants, artistic talents and
premier real-estate. From the rocks to Circular Quay, this French inspired winter
festival is on a mission to claim back the loom stolen by covid; Es-tu prêt? Are you
ready?

Bastille Festival the French Revolution celebrations will put the pop and cheers back into champagne, Bon appétit to every crumbly croissant and melodies to sing and dance the nights away. It is free-entry, and we are proud of it! bringing a
compilation of the best food, wine and art since 2012.

4 VILLAGES & 4 UNIQUE WAYS TO EXPERIENCE THE FESTIVAL.
In our Revolution, our strength lay in numbers. In 2019, Hundreds of thousands of emerald residents joined us on
our pursuit to celebrate, and this year we’re mobilising a crowd to eclipse that. Join us as we embark on a tour of the four villages bringing the essence of France’s reputable regions to Sydney’s foreshore. Discover an extensive array of
French’s cultural boutique and a winter Christmas in July experience like no other. March across Circular Quay visiting the Customs House, First Fleet Park, the MCA lawn and the rocks Xmas in July village – explore to your hearts content

Customs House: At “The Parisian Village” you’ll get to taste all the French favourites,
such as:
Raclette (a traditional cheese from the Alps, melted on top of potatoes, pickles
and onion) Crepes (cooked right in front of you and served with your choice of sweet or
savory toppings) Saucisson (a delicious, dry sausage that the French love to eat with butter and
bread) Fresh baguettes (and all of France’s favourite stinky cheeses)

In First Fleet Park: The “Tefal Chef Village” will get your tastebuds excited! For the first time, the Bastille is exploring extraordinary Food fusion, working with Sydney’s best Chefs and eateries, to create extraordinary dishes with a French twist. Creations will be revealed 1 months prior to the event and will be available in the participating restaurants for 1 week before the festival. Foodies, this is a culinary journey you don’t want to miss out.

MCA-Tallawoladah lawn: “The Igloo Village” – Fire pits, Melted-cheese in igloos that will be changing colours at night & unique experiences designed for you to gather with your Friends. Roast marshmallows around the fire pits & indulge on cheese and mulled wine just like the french do. In the Rocks: The “Xmas in July village” the wood huts, the snow falling, the mulled wine will take you on a journey into Europe most beautiful Christmas markets. Expect
to find all kinds of sweetness at the Rocks Christmas in July Village with
favourite treats including:
Hot mulled wine
Gingerbread houses
Freshly made French crepes and waffles
Melted cheese hotdogs
Cheese stations

IT’S A WINE JOURNEY – One French Passport – 8 Wines “Extraordinaire” to
taste on a 1.4KM walk around the harbour : It’s the “BASTILLE WALK
OF WINE ! “

This Crowd Favourite is returning in 2022 ! This Winter, get your French passport,
your branded tasting glass and go exploring France most reputable wines … without
the Jetlag. Each bar you’ll visit on our French Wine Tasting Tour has its own dedicated
person who can talk you through the wines you’re interested in tasting, making it a
journey you won’t soon forget. Wonder your way from the northern regions of Alsace
to the southern cities of Provence & Languedoc and a few in between.

Do the two step, a back flip or a smooth cha cha, Sydney we want to celebrate!
Over 100 performances in 4 days will put the funk within you! Hasn’t it been
long since we boogied? we are bringing a roster of the most exciting musical
talents to grace the stage, a lot of the artist have been practicing away and
perfecting their arts for the day we reunite. Far and many in-between you’ll be
witness to world class street art performers, yearning for the crowd’s roar

Concerts in First Fleet Park and a secondary stage with shows and concerts rotating all
day long, every day. You will find busking spots and pop-up performances all around
the festival for street performers to showcase their art. Prepare to be dazzled by
lights, thrilled by fire, inspired by lovely artists, discover beauty in the bizarre, fall in
love with the art of circus at Bastille Festival Sydney!
