Memsaab Youth Centre (MYC), an elite cricket training academy training over 100 young talented kids won all the categories it participated in this summer season from Hoxton Park.

It won under 12, under 13, and under 15 competitions in 30 overs format and also the T20 competition organised by Fairfield and Liverpool Cricket Association. Vinay who coaches these talented kids took a decision last year to join the Fairfield and Liverpool Cricket association from Northern Districts so the kids get better opportunities. Vinay says, “At MYC every kid has a role in the team and when they do the best to play their individual roles the team is stronger and we get the best outcome.”

Vinay has created a culture of inclusion and nurturing individual talent at MYC which gives the kids the confidence and gets the best out of them, his coaching style is unique and well respected by the parents, kids and key figures in the cricketing world. This is one of the secrets of why MYC has been able to be so successful in attracting great talent and deliver results in the field.

Last winter season was also fruitful for MYC where they lifted 2 competition trophies for U12 and U14. Kids at MYC are cricket fanatics who put in their efforts into the game throughout the year, may it be winter or summer competitions, they just want to play and give their best. Over and above club games the kids have been playing various forms of cricket from Representative cricket to Regional and Green Shield competitions.

MYC has significantly grown over last year, when Vinay decided to transition from a small facility to a bigger one where he has fitted the centre with best facilities including cameras which can record the sessions to provide feedback to the kids. But it is not these facilities that attract the parents, its Vinay’s unique coaching style they value, the facilities are icing on the cake.

MYC will continue its association with Hoxton Park and Fairfield and Liverpool Cricket Association over next season and aim to do better whilst the kids learn and develop their skills.
