Remembrance Day Commemoration at The Jawan ANZAC Cenotaph

The fourth Remembrance Day Commemoration at The Jawan ANZAC Cenotaph was held in Cherrybrook on 7th November 2021.

It was attended by Mr. George Main President Hornsby RSL Sub Branch, Hon Julian Leeser MP from Berowra, Hon Matt keen MP NSW treasurer, Hon Phillip Ruddock the Hornsby Mayor, Hon Manish Gupta Indian Consulate General and ex Serviceman from Indian and Australian army among others. The cenotaph was built in honour of Indian origin soldiers who took part in the World War I, in ANZAC.

The event was managed by AICC – Australia India Cenotaph Committee: A Project of Hindu Council of Australia, supported by Hornsby RSL-Sub Branch, RSL Hornsby Pipe and Band, Hornsby Shire council, Cherrybrook Technology High School, IABBV Hindi School, local community volunteers and media friends. Prayers were offered by Turramurra Gurudwara and Gujrati Brahman Samaj.
