Australian Indian Sports Educational and Cultural Society (AISECS) announced an upcoming webinar series titled “Sport in the new normal” to educate the community on ways to get involved and participate in grassroot sport. “We’ve had the pleasure to tie up with some of the largest sporting organisations like Cricket Australia, State Cricket Bodies, AFL and NRL for a 1 hour webinar involving industry experts and high profile athletes which will take place over the next few weeks,” informed Gurnam Singh, Founder, AISECS.
The webinar will feature some of the largest sporting organisations like Cricket Australia, State Cricket Bodies, AFL and NRL over the next few weeks. There is every chance to watch your favourite player live and learn about their sporting journey. Through this initiative, AISECS hopes to strengthen inter-state ties, improve grassroot participation, discuss coach education platforms and most importantly, keep the passion for sport alive.
Through these webinars, AISECS intends to educate the community on ways to participate and get involved right from playing in the backyard today all the way to playing for Australia one day. Some of the key issues discussed will be pathways in Australian sport, costs associated with participation, talent identification & high performance, technological advancements, diversity & inclusion, Government grants and return to play post COVID-19. In addition to the above, one of the biggest agendas of AISECS is to educate the community about opportunities for women and girls in sport.
