With face-to-face classes ceasing, Jamie’s Ministry of Food has announced the launch of a national school holiday program, offering online cooking classes for keen young cooks from the comfort of their own kitchens. With over 50,000 Aussies having participated in Jamie’s Ministry of Food’s face to face program, the new online approach means more people are able to access the courses from the comfort of their own homes. The 5-week program focus on Jamie Oliver’s key food principles, offering lifelong skills that have the opportunity to improve the overall health and wellbeing of participants and their families. “Our school holiday program will teach our young students the basics of food, nutrition and cooking, as well as some of Jamie’s special tips and tricks! Participants will learn how to make meals from scratch, by baking, grilling, sautéing, boiling and roasting fresh ingredients,” said Siobhan Boyle, CEO of The Good Foundation. “The program equips teens with skills that make it simpler and quicker to cook healthy, delicious meals – a skill that will take them well into adulthood. Maintaining a healthy diet is always important and particularly during these difficult times,” Siobhan said.
