Mason P Arora conducts an exclusive telephonic interview with him for Indus Age.

MPA: Hi Tiger, congratulations on double celebrations in this month of March’20.

Tiger Shroff: Yeah ! Thanks very much,this year March’ 20 is special for me, one being my Birthday on 2^nd March and second my film Baaghi 3 releasing on 5^th March.

MPA:Is it coincidental or planned to release Baaghi 3 on your birthday?

Tiger Shroff: No no, it is just coincidental that it is coming close near my birthday. The film being produced by Sajid Nadiadwala,who is such a dynamic and organised film maker,that he planned and fixed the release date at start of the film only.

MPA: This is the 3^rd part of Baaghi triology, anything special about it?

Tiger Shroff : People have liked the 2 parts before this so much that it made big sense commercially to make another part of it, though all 3 parts are different but they are spiritual sequels. Baaghi 3 is a remake of tamil blockbuster named VETTAI.

MPA: What are your forthcoming films after Baaghi 3?

Tiger Shroff: My next will be RAMBO which is official remake of Sylvester Stallone’s RAMBO directed by Siddharth Anand and after that will be HEROPANTI 2.Both these films will be released this year.

MPA: These all seem to be in same genre of action /revenge ,right from your 1^st film Heropanti.Will you be doing only action oriented films?

Tiger Shroff: It is not like that but Yes I am a action hero and that’s why I am in films.I was a Bruce Lee fan since age of 4 and that attracted me to learn martial arts and other forms of action techniques.Then also I had a huge crush on Michael Jackson, which made me learn dancing.If you see my films,they have a blend of action,dance,romance and all other ingredients.Every actor has its own style and you can say that I specialise in Action/Dance styled films.Only few actors in the industry are in this zone ,like Me,Hrithik,Varun Dhawan.

MPA: It is commonly seen your mother Ayesha Shroff, helming your career and commercial deals.Does your father not interfere or deal with your affairs?

Tiger Shroff: My father is still active and busy in his own film commitments and I don’t want to disturb his things. Moreover, he is not of interfering nature and has always given me free hand in my decisions. My mother who is a business lady and a producer herself, knows the ins and out of the trade. Apart from my professional managerial team,my mother keeps an eye on my business deals, as every mother will normally care for her son.

MPA: You and your sister Krishna Shroff are told to be real close, what do you say?

Tiger Shroff: Yes, me and my sister who is 3 years younger  ,do share a close bond as siblings.We have similar interests and likings. She is also a fitness freak like me and like sports.I fondly call her “Baby Bro” and wish her the best in life.

MPA: How about your love life? Anybody special there or more openly your relation with Disha Pattani?

Tiger Shroff: See first of all we are colleagues, secondly she is a good friend, so to name it as a relation,is not right.We often hang around as friends in common circle but that doesn’t mean we are dating.Also, she is a career oriented girl and takes her work very seriously. So,I don’t think we are doing what media thinks or public thinks.

MPA: Okay, any plans of marriage soon?

Tiger Shroff: Honestly not for next 5-6 years. I am concentrating more on my work.Still consider myself as a fresher and have a long way to go.It is not that I am against marriage but it is not in my list at this stage. Have not even thought about it.

MPA: Careerwise, whom do you take as a threat from the industry?

Tiger Shroff: To threat or take threat,is not my philosophy.As said before,every artist has his /her own style and genre and all are good in what they do.Its not that I am doing action films at the moment and won’t be able to give a sensitive performance if needed or a soft imaged guy won’t be able to do action.I consider myself lucky to be working with some great talents like Hrithik, Ranvir Singh,Varun Dhawan etc .

MPA : You are said to be the most soft spoken and humble youngster in the industry.What do you think?

Tiger Shroff: Wow! That’s good to know if I am considered so.For this compliment I will give credit to my family,my upbringing and my good schooling. My father came from a low class family and then made such a big name in the industry by his talent and nature. He is my role model for this and want to be like him-humble and loved by everyone.

MPA:Who are your favourite actors from industry and whom do you want to work with?

Tiger Shroff: My Dad is my 1^stchoice,he is very very talented and has a special charisma around him.I wish I could be as attractive as him.I admired Hrithik Roshan and still do.He was my ideal role model in films who is so handsome,can act ,dance,fight so well.After working with him in WAR,my one wish has been fulfilled.

I still want to work with Amitabh and Aamir Sir,who are very very talented and will be a lot to learn from them,when I work with them…some day.

MPA: What is success for your so well maintained body?

Tiger Shroff: Lot of hard work,dedication, self control and ‘No Cheat Policy’. It is not easy to build this kind of physique and more difficult is to maintain it.I love chocolates and ice cream so much but still can’t have it.

So,regular exercise and training under able supervision,right diet and discipline can only get you this kind of body and physique. Even in such a glamourous industry,I don’t smoke or drink,which helps me more in my diet control.
