Pleasing the God of Rain: The Art of Living Australia and Shri Shiva Mandir performs Varuna Pooja

The Art of Living Australia (AOL) and Shri Shiva Mandir (Minto) organised Varuna Pooja on 28th December, 2019. Varuna Pooja is performed to invoke rain.

Varuna Pooja was performed with the blessings of H.H. Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Not only was the event organised to invoke rain but also for the well-being of firefighters and the greater good of people. It was performed by Panditji Sivasri Sivashanmugasivacharya from Minto temple.

As per Vedas, God Varuna is associated with water, clouds, rivers and oceans. People travelled from far away suburbs of Sydney to wholeheartedly support the event at Shri Shiva Mandir. Mandir management (Shri Naresh Sharma, Shri Ganesh Lingam, Urimeeladhya) showered their dedication with their presence.
