Bollywood’s Diva Kareena Kapoor Khan garners ‘Tareefaan’ at Diwali Dhamaka; also unveils T-20 World Cup trophy in Melbourne

On the 1st of November 2019, Urban Desi organised a Diwali party….and it was a sparkling event indeed….with one of Bollywood’s stars lending her sparkle. Yes indeed…the vivacious, graceful, stunning Kareena Kapoor Khan, was the chief guest and did not disappoint.

The event was at The Grand on Cathies, and complimented with sumptuous food. Bollywood dance performances by some very talented dancers set the mood and kicked off the evening, followed by a magic show which was very entertaining. After a little bit of a wait, the Bollywood diva made her surprise entry. Looking ravishing in a pink lehenga choli, she was greeted by her adoring fans, and she spoke of her love for Melbourne. There was a fashion show by kids, that drew ‘oohs and aahs’ from all patrons and Kareena herself, as the tiny tots catwalked on her songs. Albeit she was missing her little man Taimur but she was full of praise for the kids.

Bebo lived up to her reputation of being a crowd pleaser when the meet and greet happened with the audience. She did not hesitate to get into the groove and bust a few moves to ‘Taareefan’, a catchy number from her blockbuster hit ‘Veerey Di Wedding’.

All in all, it was a wonderful evening. Gary Vohra of Urban Desi advertised a great show, and deliver he did. He brought Bollywood royalty to Melbourne and made it an evening to remember !! And it didn’t end there..Every cricket fan knows that Australia plays host to the T-20 World Cup in 2020, and who better to inaugurate the winning trophy than Kareena, who represented a billion fans at the MCG and did the Indian community here proud !!!!
