GrowFit Shoe Drive is on again!

GrowFit collaborating with Shoes for Planet Earth.

They are at it again! That’s right, GrowFit is collecting children’s sports shoes across NSW! Each year, GrowFit partners with Shoes For Planet Earth, and collects a mountain of clean sports shoes in good condition. These shoes are then donated to Life PNG Care, in turn reaching children in need across both Australia and the world.

Founder of GrowFit, Mike Searson, and his team believe that every child across the globe deserves a happier, healthier future. That’s why they collect these shoes! Unfortunately, around the world and in many parts of rural Australia, there are still lots of kids unable to afford or acquire basic needs, like shoes. Not only is this a great excuse to not throw your unwanted sports shoes the bin. Let’s face it, they are going straight into that landfill, but its also just a great chance to do a little good for another little person.

GrowFit has been running with this incredible charity now for five years. Shoes For Planet Earth collects your unwanted shoes that are still in good and usable condition. The shoes put happy smiles across kids’ face in places like Africa, Papua New Guinea, and rural Australia and again, it’s another chance for you to help a child in need!

From now until the 12 April 2019 you will be able to donate unwanted new or worn shoes at your participating childcare centre!

So how does it work?

Each year we send out boxes to the childcare centres we are affiliated with. These centres become your local drop off point for shoes. We run this charity for all of Term 1.

These centres are located across Sydney, all the way from Katoomba,

Warriewood, Rose Bay, and right down to the Wollongong.

This year we ask all mums and dads to get involved in our shoe drive. Instead of putting your shoes in a bin, put them into a GrowFit Shoes For Planet Earth box!

Last year they rescued over 1500 pairs of shoes for the garbage, this year they’d like to save even more.
