GC2018 Day Eight: Indian women’s hockey team has made it through to the semifinal match!

Team India has a huge day tomorrow at Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, featuring some of the nation’s best performers in a number of sports!

The Indian women’s hockey team has made it through to the semifinal match tomorrow, with their opponent due to be announced by the end of the day! India’s women’s team did not make it to the top four at Glasgow 2014 so this an awesome achievement for the ladies.

Wrestling finals also commence tomorrow, featuring huge Indian names including Rahul Aware, Sushil Kumar and Babita Kumari. The athletes will all be putting their best feet forward with the aim of making into the gold and bronze medal events in the evening.

Squash mixed doubles quarterfinals are also on tomorrow evening and India’s Joshna Chinappa and Harinder Pal Sandhu will be aiming to make it to the next rounds after their pool match tonight at Oxenford Studios.

In badminton, high hopes are being held for HS Prannoy and Srikanth Kidambi in the men’s singles events, with the rounds of 16 taking place tomorrow at GC2018.
