Chinappa and Ghosal hit the squash courts for their first matches tonight!

The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games have well and truly kicked off, with India taking in multiple events throughout the day.

Tonight, high medal contenders Joshna Chinappa and Saurav Ghosal will take to the squash courts in their first preliminary singles games of the Games. Chinappa faces off against Papua New Guinea’s Lynette Vai, while Ghosal’s opponent is still to be decided.

India finished the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games third out of 28 competing nations and this year the nation is aiming for an even better result, with their strongest Commonwealth squash team yet.
