Excitement for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games boxing events at Oxenford Studios has reached new heights today after the draw was just released, featuring India’s famed Manipur boxer Mary Kom.
Kom had the honour of holding the Queen’s baton in it’s opening ceremony run during the Delhi 2010 Games but was unable to compete as women’s boxing events were not included until 2014.
Superstar athletes from around the world will take on their opponents in back-and-forth bouts consisting of three intense three-minute rounds.
The boxers are well-known for their strength, speed and stamina and will showcase these skills over the nine days of competition on the Gold Coast.
