The appalling death of an Indian student, Akanksha Kadam, studying in Australia sent shockwaves across the country. Ms Kadam lost her life in a fatal accident that occurred at Terrey Hills, but she will always be remembered as the feisty go-getter… The ever cheerful Akanksha was pursuing MBA at Macquarie Graduate School of Management and also worked with an Indian restaurant Mantra in Top Ryde. Being a management student she managed both her work and studies immaculately.
Amit Kumar, Mantra Restaurant, (where Ms. Kadam worked) poured his heart out in memory of this young beautiful woman:
A bright spark of enthusiasm
Akanksha was a lovely cheerful girl, with a lot of energy; I would describe her as a bright spark of enthusiasm in my workplace. She was very friendly, with good family values and was extremely hospitable .And her positive attitude helped our Indian restaurant Mantra to grow as well.
The born manager
She had the essence of a good customer service which left the customers at our restaurant happy and in turn became repeat customers. Her customer management skills left them happy enough to pass positive feedback about our restaurant Mantra to others.
The multi-tasker
She was a full time MBA student and was also working part time at Mantra. I can say with full confidence that she was truly dedicated and focused towards both her studies and work and was a multi-tasker by nature.
May your Soul Rest In Peace!
I was shocked and I had tears in my eyes when the news of her sad demise came. She was not just a staff for me, I treat my team like my family, her loss is like a loss of a member of my Mantra family. I am still coming in terms with this great tragedy.
It was surprising to see that in such a short time she had so many friends and everyone came to help and joined in the grief of her death.
We all miss her and pray for her soul to rest in peace.
