One militant was killed and six people were injured on Tuesday during a gunfight in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora district, police said.
The incident took place when security forces launched a search operation in Parraypora village after getting information about holed-up militants.
The militants opened fire leading to the gunfight, the police said.
The injured comprised two soldiers, three police personnel and one civilian.
