Superstar Aamir Khan says he isn’t strict but instead an indulgent father in real life, unlike his character in the film “Dangal”.
Aamir, who has three children named Ira, Junaid and Azad, is seen playing a strict father in the upcoming film “Dangal”.
Asked what kind of a parent he is in real life, Aamir told reporters: “In real life I’m an indulgent father. I am not strict…Neither Kiran (Rao) or I are strict…I don’t think we are too soft also that we let our children do whatever they want. We don’t want our kids to turn out spoilt, but we aren’t hard, harsh or strict.”
The 51-year-old actor added: “When we need to instil discipline, we do that we love. You don’t have to shout at a child for that.”
In the biopic, Aamir plays Mahavir Singh Phogat, father of wrestler Geeta Phogat, who won India’s first ever gold medal in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in 2010.
