Rumana Islam and her husband Safiqul are pinching themselves that they were among the lucky 20 buyers of the first ever release of homes at Fairwater – Western Sydney’s newest masterplanned community that is the talk of Blacktown.
More than 3275 interested parties registered for the release of the Premier Collection, including Rumana and Safiqul, who had been house hunting for months and were initially interested in another of Australand’s masterplanned communities in Lidcombe.
“We saw Botanica and knew we wanted to buy something like that, so when we heard about Fairwater we immediately registered to buy,” Rumana said.
It wasn’t just the quality of the build and the value for money in the home that enticed them, it was the sprawling amenities at the 39-hectare site.
These include 9.5 hectares of parks and 1.5 hectares of lakes and waterways, as well as a learn-to-ride bike track, play areas for growing families, and a series of pramways and walkways for that morning walk or run.
“We love the community feel,” Rumana said. “You just have everything – a family friendly feel, lakes and parks. If you want to take a walk you can just do it within the community.”
Rumana works in IT, while her husband is a pharmacy assistant. The couple has lived in the US and Bangladesh, but this brand new four-bedroom home in the Premier Collection at Blacktown will be the first property they have owned.
“It has everything we need – a family room, a media room, and I’ll have an office and a study,” Rumana said with satisfaction in her voice.
