Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of her second outing ‘Highway’. Just one film old in the industry, the young actress is also debuting as a singer with her upcoming flick and she says that if she fails as an actress, she will become a singer.
Alia said, “I am not a singer… I think I am a bathroom singer. When I was asked to sing I was excited and thought of trying it (singing) out. A R Rahman sir was very patient with me. If I fail as an actress, I will become a singer.”
While, the shooting of the film was going on, the actress use to sing Rahman’s song ‘Jiya Re Jiya’ and at that time Imtiaz thought of making Alia a singer for this film.
The 20 year old actress, says that both acting and singing are difficult.
Alia said, “I am just two films old when it comes to acting and it’s my debut as a singer with ‘Highway’. For me both are difficult.”
“When I was recording with Rahman sir, I messed up a few times but that is ok…it happens. I did not know anything about singing…I did not know how to sustain my breath, but later on I learnt with the help of Rahman sir,” she added.
But, Alia looking at the promos of ‘Highway’, we feel that you won’t fail as an actress.
