A new family festival, Kidtopia, is coming to Parramatta Park for the next three years, celebrating music, food, education, entertainment, art and culture.
Minister for Trade, Tourism and Major Events Stuart Ayres said the festival will be accessible, enjoyable and affordable for local and visiting families, with plenty of activities on offer.
“Kidtopia will feature live music and entertainment, outdoor cinema, silent disco, carnival rides, farmyard animals, sporting activities, arts and crafts, food stalls and much more,” Mr Ayres said.
“Over the next three years the festival is expected to attract more than 6,000 visitors to Western Sydney, contributing $1.43 million to the local economy.”
The inaugural Kidtopia will take place from 7-9 October 2016.
Member for Parramatta Geoff Lee said there is no better place than Parramatta Park for this fantastic family event.
“Parramatta Park has so much to offer, from the historic home to Australia’s first Government House to fantastic playgrounds and modern facilities,” added Mr Lee.
“It’s great to see another big event delivered for Western Sydney, I encourage families around Australia to get to Parramatta Park in October and experience Kidtopia!”
Kidtopia is supported by the NSW Government, through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
