Bus passengers in Sydney’s Hills District will soon benefit from a major boost to services, with more than 420 additional timetabled trips starting from Saturday 27 February.
Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Andrew Constance said 428 additional weekly services aim to meet increased demand for customers travelling from Sydney’s west and northwest to key employment and education hubs.
“We’ve seen incredible customer growth and we’re committed to boosting transport links and increasing services in areas where they’re needed most,” Mr Constance said.
“These additional services in the Hills District are crucial as an interim measure while the government gets on with building the world-class North West Metro, which when completed will provide another option for commuters.

“The additional services aim to increase capacity for customers travelling between Macquarie University, Macquarie Park and Macquarie Centre and improve connections to the Norwest Business Park and Norwest Private Hospital.
“With more customers also needing to access the CBD, Macquarie Park and Parramatta the improvements will also improve links to major hubs.”
The 428 extra weekly services are in addition to 315 weekly morning and afternoon peak services delivered to customers in June last year for Sydney’s West and North. Since March 2011, the NSW Government has introduced more than 14,800 extra weekly public transport services across the state.
