- The living room can be made in the northeast for a north or east facing house. For a west facing house, it can be in the northwest. For a south facing house, it can be in southeast direction.
- Heavy furniture can be placed against the south and west walls not touching them. TV should be placed in South-East direction.
- Air-conditioners should be placed on the west walls or north walls
- Aquariums can be placed in the North East direction.
- The head of the family should always be seated in the South-Western corner of the living room facing north or east.
- The seating of guest must be in the South-West or North-West direction so that they face west or south.
- South-West located living room makes your guests feel at home and they stick to your home for long time.
- The television should be in the southeast corner. As far as possible T.V. should not be in the north-east or the south-west corner.
- The telephone should not be in the south-west or the north-west corners. It should be in the east or in the south-east or in the north.
- The north wall of the living room can have paintings/pictures of waterfalls. The east wall can have a painting of the rising sun. The south and west walls can have paintings of high rise mountains with heavy plant life and similar paintings that denote strength.
- Within the living area keep internal furniture, articles and heavy things in West or South side. If there is no option, then use a base of 1-3 inches height to keep furniture in North or North-East.
- Put light curtains on North-East windows and doors and heavy curtains in South-West of living area.
- Keep North-East corner of living area clean and empty if possible. Also, to make things better, keep some healthy plants in this corner.
- Chandelier should not be fixed right in the center of the room, but can be slightly towards the west, as central part should not have any heavy weight.
- Never keep artificial flowers, dried flowers as they attract misfortune, cactus/cacti or bonsai plants and are inauspicious.
