To commemorate the first anniversary of the 29th Indian state, Telangana, the Melbourne Telangana Forum Inc. gathered together at RECWEST YMCA Hall, Market Street, Footscray, Melbourne, Australia and observed the formation of the newly formed state with full enthusiasm and zeal.
Mr. Rajesh Reddy, the honorable President of the Melbourne Telangana Form Inc. and 32 members of New Executive Committee actively participated in the cultural and entertainment programmes with all their heart. About 400 people attended and enjoyed the events. They also paid respect to the people who sacrificed their lives and struggled for over 60 years for the formation of Telangana state. The honorable guests and founder President Shri Venkat Nookala addressed the meeting about MTF Inc, activities in Melbourne, Victoria and the various events of that the organization arranges from time to time.
The celebration ended with a grand dinner for all the guests and members who attended the gala event.
The Telangana state of India is a result of a continuous struggle and fight of the people for over 60 years. The Parliament of India passed the Telangana Bill on 18th February, 2014 and eventually the 29th state of India, Telangana came into being on 2nd June, 2014.
