The Follow Your Dream Foundation – Australia (TFYDFA) of Lions Club held a Media Launch for the
Lions Club International 2015 Annual Charity Ball at Sydney’s Emperors Garden Restaurant in
Chinatown on April 30.
A crowd of distinguished guests and media attended the luncheon including, The Hon Mark Coure MP,
Member for Oatley and Burwood Councilor Ernest Wong. Many of the Lions Club Board of Trustees were
also present with the opening welcome delivered by Secretary General and Trustee of Lions Club Pearl Lin.
Trustee Jonathan Yee acknowledged sponsors and introduced FYDF Vice Chairman PDG Allen Fraser who
addressed the media on behalf of Barry Palmer – the Founder and Chairman and spoke about the charity’s
gala dinner.
“The Lions Club and the FYDF Australia are striving to raise funds in support of research for children with
cancer, providing education for under-privileged children, Scholarships for University Students, and food
for hungry school children.’ Said Vice Chairman and Trustee PDG Allen Fraser ‘we wouldn’t be able to do
this vital work without the help of our sponsors, our board of trustees, our donors and volunteers.”
Many Lions Club members were present to support the event with Trustee Andy Yin acting as the MC for
the launch. Spokesman from Platinum sponsor ACPPRC Professor Qun Shao and Gold Sponsor OISM
Tommy Leung both addressed the launch with the final vote of thanks delivered by Trustee Sheba
Nandkeolyar, who formally concluded the proceedings.
The Lions Club International Annual Charity Ball will take place at Doltone House in Pyrmont on May 28th.
Tickets are available now from Lions Club with proceeds going towards expanding services offered by
Lions Club to disadvantaged children, those in the community who must need their support.
