IMG_1968Q) Why did MoneyGram choose cricket? What does this sponsorship mean to us?

A) MoneyGram’s brand and services are well known in ‘cricket countries’ and we are committed to

supporting initiatives that matter to our valued customers. Since 2011, MoneyGram has been the

official sponsor of the ICC Cricket World Cup and we are proud to help bring the beloved sport to its fans

all over the world.

Q) What services does MoneyGram offer to consumers living in Australia who need to send money to

India?

A.) We are proud to offer diverse and innovative options for transferring funds around the world.

MoneyGram has about 1,000 agent locations in Australia, including self-service kiosks at 7-Eleven stores.

The kiosks provide convenient, easy-to-use money transfer services 24 hours a day, allowing consumers

to send funds to family quickly and securely any time they wish.

MoneyGram is the only funds transfer provider in Australia to offer money transfer services through a

kiosk. We also recently announced the launch of account deposit service to India. Consumers can now

send money to all rupee-denominated bank accounts in India in as little as three hours, when sent

during National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) network processing hours. MoneyGram currently

offers a $0 fee for sends over AUD $1,000.

Q.) Other than receiving funds directly into bank accounts, where else can consumers in India pick up

transferred funds?

A) MoneyGram has more than 53,000 agent locations in India, including 6,000 post offices through our

relationship with India Post, the world’s largest postal network. We also have relationships with

Supreme Securities, UAE exchange and Thomas Cook. This network facilitates easy and convenient cash

pick-up within ten minutes, subject to agent hours of operations.

Q) Who uses MoneyGram’s transfer services and why?

A) Almost half of the world’s population does not have access to traditional financial institutions or are

underserved by banks. People in more than 200 countries depend on MoneyGram’s services to provide

funds to loved ones for essential needs like education, food and housing. We are proud to connect

families all over the world through our network of 350,000 agent locations. In addition to our

convenient locations in popular places such as grocery stores, post offices and banks, we are building

innovative channels that enable consumers to transfer money anytime and anywhere, either in-person,

online or through their mobile phones.

Q) How does MoneyGram price its services?

A) MoneyGram is proud to deliver an essential service at a good value. Our fees are transparent and

affordable. In fact, our global average send fee (including foreign exchange) of less than five percent of

the value of money transferred is substantially lower than the average fee for an international bank

transfer and is very competitive in our industry.

Q) How does MoneyGram invest in the Indian communities?

A) MoneyGram believes early education is at the heart of a better life – economic opportunities,

healthier families, individual freedom and empowerment — the Foundation focuses solely on helping

children around the world gain better access to educational facilities and learning resources. In 2014,

the MoneyGram Foundation funded operations for three Mobile Science Labs through the Agastya

International Foundation. The labs travel to 30 schools throughout rural India, teaching children to use

hands-on science models in physics, chemistry, biology and math. Each lab impacts more than 7,000

children.

Q) How does MoneyGram protect its customers from fraud?

A) MoneyGram’s services and products are trusted by tens of millions of consumers around the globe

to connect family, friends and loved ones through reliable money transfers. Each month, we

prevent millions of dollars of suspected fraud activity through our fraud prevention and monitoring.

MoneyGram has also taken a leadership position in consumer fraud education and is the founding

member of the Scam Awareness Alliance, a nonprofit organization that provides information about

scams. Consumers can learn more at scamawareness.org.

Q) What makes Australia such an important market for MoneyGram?
