NSW Premier Mike Baird and Minister for Ageing John Ajaka today announced the 2015 Premier’s Seniors Week Gala Concerts will be held on 17 and 18 March at Qantas Credit Union Arena (formerly known as the Sydney Entertainment Centre), with the tickets being offered free of charge to NSW seniors.
Mr Baird said the Premier’s Gala Concerts are held each year and have proven to be enormously popular with NSW seniors.
“The Premier’s Gala Concerts have become ‘must-see’ event for our seniors, with music by world-class Australian performers and a fantastic spectacle on display,” Mr Baird said.
“These concerts are a great way for the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government to thank and acknowledge our seniors for the fantastic and ongoing contribution they make to our society.”
Mr Ajaka said free tickets to the concerts for NSW seniors will be available through Ticketek from 10.00am on Thursday 22 January 2015.
“The theme of the 2015 concerts will be ‘Viva Las Vegas’, channelling the big Vegas shows, from the years of Frank Sinatra, Elvis and the Rat Pack to more contemporary showstoppers from artists such as Tom Jones, Celine Dion and Elton John,” Mr Ajaka said.
The concerts will be held on Tuesday 17 March at 4.30pm and Wednesday 18 March at 10.30am and 2.30pm. A concert for NSW seniors groups at 11.00am on Tuesday 17 March has already booked out.
Tickets can be booked at www.ticketek.com.au/nswseniorsweek and in person at participating Ticketek outlets and Westfield Concierge desks.
Bookings are also available by phone on 1300 130 613 for the cost of a local call. Seniors are encouraged to be patient if booking by phone, due to the large volume of calls.
