Siliguri, Dec 27 (IANS) An assistant commandant of the West Bengal Police’s Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) was Saturday found hanging from a tree in Siliguri in north Bengal, police said.
The body of Prem Kumar Chettri (58) was found hanging by workers of the Dagapur tea estate.
Siliguri Deputy Commissioner of Police O.G. Pal said Chettri, who resided in the IRB barracks in Pintel village in the area, was suffering from depression and might have committed suicide. The body was sent for post mortem.
