Three held for killing friend over sharing drugs

New Delhi, Dec 27 (IANS) Three people have been arrested for killing their friend, a New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) employee, after a heated argument over sharing drugs, police said Saturday.

Nasim Khan alias Nanhe, 20, Mohammad Samir, 19, and Sanjay, 19, were arrested near a bus stop at J.J. Colony in west Delhi’s Bawana area Friday while they were proceeding to purchase smack.

“The accused trio as well as the deceased were smack addicts,” Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch), Ravindra Yadav said.

A case of murder was registered in west Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy after the decomposed body of the victim Manjeet, 25, was recovered Dec 14.

The accused revealed that the deceased had demanded disproportionate share of smack Dec 12 night.

“Nasim started the fight with deceased and subsequently other two joined and they badly smashed his head and face with heavy stones. They also slit victim’s throat and fled,” said the official.
