The name Raman Bhalla, a rising Liberal star is in the air and here to stay to make a difference in the “taken for granted” for long and neglected Blacktown constituency. Ever since he got endorsed as a Liberal Candidate for the seat of Blacktown, he put his campaign on full throttle, has not wasted a day and is out and about. He has got around a fully charged campaign team that is always on their toes and seen in action engaging the electorate along with Raman Bhalla.
Raman, a chartered accountant by profession, is a brilliant, soft but well spoken, committed, gritty and sensible person. He is the best suited person for the job and rightly picked by the Liberal party. He has nearly two decades of experience in capital raising, financial management and corporate governance roles in listed and unlisted organisations of various sizes across diverse industries and has been helping businesses to grow, elevate shareholder value, establish internal controls and improve systems efficiency.
He has been a regular speaker at media forums on economic and financial challenges facing small and medium businesses and on government economic policy positions. All this is going well to augment his role in politics and play a constructive role.
Raman knows fully well the challenges ahead, work hard and engage the electorate in a big way. His can-do attitude will make this journey enjoyable and comfortable though he realizes the fight is going to be tough as his opponent John Robertson is a unionist and the current leader of opposition. The start and intensity of the campaign seems to have unsettled the opposition camps as they have stooped too low and have once indulged in intimidatory tactics. These moves are rather giving strength, stamina and resolute to fight, to us says Raman.
I am sure the entire Indian-Australian community will rally around him and provide wholehearted support to Raman and this support is very likely to transcend the party lines to see him through to the parliament.
Blacktown is the heart of Western Sydney and it is very important for Blacktown throb and grow and do well. Although the state of NSW has done exceptionally well, the region of Blacktown could have done a lot better by good strong representation in state parliament instead of being represented by a trade unionist.
Raman empathizes the electorate of Blacktown have been taken for a ride for too long by ALP who never bothered to care for them thinking them in their pocket for permanent. Raman, a rising Liberal star will be able to provide strong initiative and representation to residents of Blacktown. He has a young family with two beautiful daughters and he understands what it takes to run a household. Be it childcare, sports activities or education as goes through this every day.
In his speech on the occasion of his formal campaign launch at Lily,s Restaurant and Bar Raman Bhalla spelled out his vision for Blacktown for better standard of life for our children by provisioning better educational facilities in Blacktown, by creating more local job opportunities, by better public transport system and by creating safer environment to live
