Minister for Ageing John Ajaka today urged Seniors Card members to check out the new Discount Directory and encouraged any eligible seniors who have not yet applied for a Seniors Card to get one and start enjoying the benefits.
“Cardholders can now receive their 2015 Discount Directory with listings of updated discounts and special offers,” Mr Ajaka said.
“In NSW discounts are available from over 3,000 locations. The most popular saving is the NSW public transport travel concession, where Seniors Card holders have unlimited travel for $2.50 per day.
“There’s something for everyone in the new directory – food and beverages, travel, computing, events and entertainment, magazines, and much more – with discounts from 10 per cent up to as much as 50 per cent.
“For the more tech savvy senior, discounts can be found by downloading the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play to find information about the closest shops, businesses and services giving Seniors Card members discounts.
“I want to remind businesses interested in being added to the directory, that it is free to be listed and reaches more than one million seniors across the state.
