Rio de Janeiro, Nov 5 (IANS)Â Corinthians could offer Alexandre Pato to Juventus in a bid to bring Carlos Tevez back to his former club.
Roberto de Andrade, a candidate for Corinthians’ presidency, vowed to pursue the Argentinian should he win February’s vote for the club’s leadership, reports Xinhua.
“We have a player at the club who has a high value,” Andrade told Band Sports Tuesday. “To bring somebody of Tevez’s level is our dream.”
Corinthians bought Pato for 15 million euros from AC Milan in January 2013. He joined Brazilian rivals Sao Paulo on loan this year and has scored nine goals from 25 top-flight matches.
Tevez has netted 25 times from 36 matches since joining Juventus from Manchester City last year. The 30-year-old enjoyed a successful spell at Corinthians from 2004 to 2006 before joining West Ham United.
