The NSW Government has announced details of the new $1.6 million Multicultural NSW Grants Program, with funding available for initiatives that promote cultural harmony and social cohesion.
“This program is about celebrating our rich cultural diversity and promoting values which are common to us all as Australians,” Geoff Lee, Member for Parramatta said.
“Since 2011, the NSW Government has increased funding for multicultural community projects by $400,000. This is part of our wider objective to combat racism, empower multicultural women and girls and encourage young people from different ethnic backgrounds to participate in sport,” added Geoff.
