OnAugust 31, 2014 the Gold Coast Hindu Cultural Association held their Annual General Meeting.
The association welcomed their new Management Committee, which includes Dr Shunil Sharma as the President, Dr M. Anandakumarasamy as the Vice President, Mr Rajiv Haikerwal as the Secretary, Mrs Neela Ramiah as the Joint Secretary, Mr Rathinam Srinivasan as the Treasurer, Mr Sures Sinnadurai as the Assistant Treasurer, Professor Thiru Aravinthan as the Director, Cultural Activities, Mr Kartik Menon as the Director Educational Activities, Mr Ramanathan Karupiah as the Director Youth & Community, Fund Raising, & Event Management, Mr Subramaniam Barataraj as the Director Religious Activities and Dr G. Subakumar as the Director Resources, Media, Publicity and Asset Management.
The association on the behalf of Dr. Shunil Sharma and the committee expressed their sincere gratitude to the outgoing members of the committee for their leadership and generous contribution to the association.
The GCHCA will be organising and hosting a “Navarathri” festival and cultural show on Saturday, October 4th. This event will take place at the Nerang Bicentennial Community Centre, 833 Southport- Nerang Road, Nerang. Tickets for the event (no entry fee) can also be ordered through their website.
