“The Community Relations Commission of NSW condemns outright the alleged racist attack on Jewish school children in Sydney’s eastern suburbs yesterday”, the Chief Executive Officer, Hakan Harman said today.
“People who commit crimes motivated by racial or religious difference are the enemies of the whole society of NSW which is peaceful, accepting and understanding of difference.
“Now that there have been arrests for these alleged crimes we should allow the law to take its course to the correct conclusion.
“Meanwhile the Commission offers its support to the Jewish community and stands by to consider whatever assistance may be required.
“The Community Relations Commission is charged with looking out for all sections of the NSW community and to take the necessary steps to see that disputes occurring abroad have no impact on our harmonious life in this state”, Mr Harman said.
