Deepika Padukone gets Rs 8 crore for Bajirao Mastani!

Looks like Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra and others will have to up their acting abilities to match the reigning queen of B-Town

Deepika Padukone gets whopping Rs 8 crore for acting opposite boyfriend Ranveer Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani. If we recall, she was facing a lot of dilemma choosing between Karan Johar’s Shuddhi and SLB’s Bajirao Mastani, but she decided to stay loyal to her Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela director and sign the film with him. Now she has been rewarded handsomely for the same.

While we have heard Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and others get such a pay hike, this will be a first time that any leading lady has received such a huge amount. If we recall SLB discussed Bajirao Mastani with Deepika right after finishing the shooting schedule of Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram Leela, and she had instantly said yes for the project even without discussing any monetary aspects.

Now that she has become the queen of B-Town with five back to back hits, she could have demanded anything for the role, but she decided not to. She also decided to give SLB’s project more importance than her project with KJo. When she had to choose between KJo and SLB, she decided to stay loyal to her commitment made right after Ram Leela.

Loyalty has therefore paid off for Deepika. With this, other heroines like Anushka Sharma,Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha will have to up their game, else they might be left behind. What do you think peeps?
