Berlin, May 14 (IANS) Werder Bremen has signed defender Alejandro Galvez from Spanish side Rayo Vallecano until June 2017, both sides announced via their official homepages.
The 24-year-old defender has joined the “Green-Whites” in a deal that keeps him at the club until 2017, reported Xinhua.
“He is a young and well trained central defender, who has gained match practise for over two years in the league of the World and European champion. I am pleased that we were able to sign him. I am sure that he will stabilize our defence,” Bremen manager Thomas Eichin said Tuesday.
Bremen coach Robin Dutt added: “Alejandro has proven in the past few months that he can stabilize a defence. He has large shares of Vallecano’s good second half of the season. I am delighted to have another option for the upcoming season.”
Galvez played two years for Vallecano to mark two goals in 54 appearances. His new side finished the season on 12th place of the Bundesliga standings.
